Tips to Tackle Week 2
- It’s easy to compare yourself to others, but it is best to only compare yourself to you! Use week one as your base and try to increase your step count slowly over the coming weeks.
- Use your teammates! We designed this to be a team challenge so that you all would have a tribe of people to help support you towards your goals. Remember to encourage your teammates kindly and without judgment. Make a date to go for a walk this week.
- Have a backup plan. Sometimes life gets in the way and you’re not always able to exercise when you intend to. As you plan out your week, schedule one extra walk/run that you can keep in your back pocket if life interrupts your regularly scheduled walk.
- The small distances add up. When you’re parking at the grocery store choose the spot farthest from the door. Take a 10 minute walk on your lunch break. You can even take a few laps around your house before you walk in the door. Find the little ways to add a more movement to your day.
